12 Stocks That Are No Dividend Champs Due To Flat Payments But Great Dividend Investments

Dividends are nice, to be sure … particularly to long-term investors who specifically need reliable income.

But not all dividend stocks are created equally. To remain a viable long-term holding to income seekers, these cash-producing stocks also need to offer reliable dividend growth over time to fight off the effects of inflation.

What good is a stagnant dividend, after all — as the payout stays the same, its purchasing power slowly erodes. And it’s surprising how many dividend paying companies don’t up their payouts to even keep pace with inflation.

It's not a shame when a company runs his dividend flat for a few years but the strengh dividend growth criteria don't add them up into the Dividend Champions league.

Here is a list of stocks that can be classified the the non-consistent dividend growers. You can also check out the Dividend Aristocrats list from 1989 to 2014. There is a great overview about how the index has changed his members.

These are some of the results:

These High-Yield Stocks Go Ex-Dividend In The Upcoming Week

I love stocks that go ex-dividend soon, because of the fast dividend payment I receive. It doesn't really matter because the next payment will normally come within the next 3 months.

However, attached is a list of the highest yielding stocks that go ex-dividend within the upcoming week. The full list can be found here: Ex-Dividend Stocks Of The Next Week July 27 – Aug 02, 2015.

Below is a current stock list of dividend stocks (common shares, preferred shares and American Depositary Receipts – ADR’s), paying forthcoming dividends and having their ex-dividend within the week July 27 – Aug 02, 2015. The average dividend-yield amounts to 4.85 percent.

High-Yield Ex-Dividend Stocks Of The Next Week July 27 – Aug 02, 2015

Realty Income, a monthly dividend paying stock is on the list. I personally like Ford. Many guru's bought General Motors. Beware the cyclical sector. The financial crisis 2007 hit both companies hard.

REITS, Pipeline stocks and Oil companies dominating the list. You must definitely a tough investor to put money into those stocks.

If I go down the list with lower yields and less risky business models, I love PAYX, AES, CALM, ADT, EV, ETN, CAG, AMTD, TAP, HAS and some more. Which stocks do you like?

Are These 8 Great Dividend Grower Underestimated By The Market?

I like it when stocks fall because they become cheaper. That's the reason why I always look at companies with a really bad stock performance.

I personally don't care about analysts and lead investors who are sometimes anxious about the future of the company. In other cases, they need to justify their portfolio risk.

I love it to see bad performing dividend stocks with a very long history of solid growing dividends, especially when the future outlook is still bright.

Below I've highlighted some of the worst performing and most disliked dividend growth stocks on the market with a negative 1-Year performance. They all got low forward P/E and yields over 3 percent.

What do you think, are they underestimated by the market?

5 Long-Term Dividend Growth Stocks To Stay Hedged In A Market Correction

The market shows a clear signal that the interest rates should rise in the near future but what should this mean for your long-term orientated dividend growth stocks?

I believe that the high valuations must come down in some way. It could also be possible that the market prices stay stable due to a solid business growth and the high liquidity in the market.

We still have dividend yields of more than 2 percent for the average market, that's a solid and defensible value during a market correction. What's your opinion about a rising interest rates? Should stocks fall or rise?

However, to stay productive, I've attached a few long-term orientated dividend growth stock ideas with low beta ratios and high dividend yields.

Each of them have raised dividends by more than five consecutive years and cover the market volatility with a beta ratio of less than 0.5.

These are the final criteria:
- Beta ratio below 0.5
- Market Cap over USD 10 billion
- Expected 5-Year earnings growth of more than 5 percent
- Forward P/E under 15
